Wednesday, 4th November
Very early start and the sun shone all day which is always the way when you've got to sit on a bus. Got to Saigon (Hoh Chi Minh City) just after lunch, Ben and I went for a wonder to find somewhere for us all to stay while the others waited with the bags. The cities not as busy as I thought it would be, but after Mumbai and Hanoi we weren't that fazed. Went for dinner and got a memory stick so we can put our photos on, if we can find a computer that works! Early night-all shattered.
Thursday, 5th November
Another early start, off to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The whole day was much better than I'd thought it would be. Tom went down into one of the real size holes and I made it along the full length of the more touristy one that they've made a bit bigger. We both had a go with the AK47's and Tom hada goon an M60 which was frighteningly quick. The guns were so loud it was hard to imagine what it must have been like during the war. Our guide Joey was really though, he bet all the guys that if they could lift the tank barrrel 25 times he'd pay for their lunch and a beer. Ben had a go and did 9 then Tom had a go and got 25, very satisfying beer and lunch before heading back to Saigon, unfortunately too late to go to the War Remnants Museum, bit war'd out for today.
