Thursday, 29th October
Early start but were looking forward to getting to Mui Ne, It doesn't disappoint. The beach is beautiful, we saw the sand dunes on the way in which we'll take a trip put to while we're here. Went straight to Jibes bar to get away from the hagglers, and to see where we were and where we wanted to stay. I stayed with the bags and Tom went for a wonder and found a cute bungalow right on the beach. It's $15 a night but when we were paying $12 in Hanoi and here we're on the beach you can't go wrong. Staight into the sea for a swim, lovely temperature, refreshing but not too cold. Went next door for a beer in Sankara, bit of a swanky bar but if you buy a drink you can use the pool and and sunloungers which are too comfy could stay there all day. Had more than enough vodkas at ours then stumbled up the beach to Chez Nina for supper. Not much going on anywhere so we asked about going out to the dunes and got an early night.
Friday, 30th October
Typical beach day, up with the sun, next door for a swim then sunbathing and swimming until ready for breakfast, more sunbathing and reading books and I bought a new bikini. Went to Jibes to play pool but they were painting above it so no go. As we were walking out along the beach I heard someone call my name turned round thinking who could that be, it was Jan and Christine who we'd met in Hanoi. It was so nice to see them but they're heading back to Germany tonight so we had a few drinks while Jan had his last go at kite surfingthen they headed off to the airport. Tried the restaurant next to Jibes for supper, really bad service, they didn't have anything I asked for to go with my salad then wouldn't let me change my salad, bad supper.
Saturday, 31st October
I recon we could get used to this life, up early , out for a swim then reading and sunbathing all day. Haloween preperations are underway next door at Sankara so might pop round. Went for lunch at Indochina Restaurant next door, the food was really good can't believe we've only just tried it, great calamari. Tried out Wax Barup the beach and met some English girls who are staying at ours. Went to Sankara for a bit then crashed.
Sunday, 1st November
Hungover and tired, tried to get hold of Anna and send her a photo but wouldn't go through.
Monday, 2nd November
Ben, Anya and Layla arrived at ours today so we hired mopeds and went with Nick as our guide out to the sand dunes, we were almost there when a jeep went past and headed upa dirt track so we followed and found the place where you can go sand duning. With pieces of lino in tow we headed off, the boys went a couple of times then us girls had a go. It was good fun but tiring on the way back up, saw the red dunes on the way back and a beautiful sunset. Went to Indochina for supper and a few games of killer.
Tuesday, 3rd November
Went out on the bikes to Sizzlers for breakfast, a North English guy runs it and even makes his own sausages so it was a pretty good brekkie. Rained for most of the afternoon so sat under cover at Sankara and tried to get our photos uploaded onto Ben's computer, played pool til late.
