Grey skies and a chilly wind greeted us this morning in Auckland. Lyn and Simon decided that it was time to head south, as this grey day is a great travelling day, so that they don't run out of time on South Island. We are looking forward to seeing a schoolfriend of Clint's, Graham Robertson, tonight and hopefully meeting up with Caylee some time. Catching up on some emails etc while the wifi from the Holiday Park allows it and then off to drop off the van and check in to the hotel. Not sure how Clint and I will cope with all the space of a room after our seriously small hippie-camper. Does make one get back to basics and realise how little one actually needs to get by quite happily.
Having spoken to Ricki, Dylan, my parents and my cousin I feel a little homesick (rather familysick !) at the moment...must be the grey sky ! Have surprised myself, how easily I have managed to be away and not feel responsible. Good to hear that all is well ...means going away will become easier and easier !
Oh my ...our hotel room is awesome. From our 12th floor window we look directly onto the Sky Tower and every now and them see people hurtling down on the Sky Jump ...similar to a bumgy jump. Quite something ! And yes ...we are already used to all the extra space. That's the way it goes.
