Working in the travel industry this is formally a sabatical ....sounds far too studious for what we have in mind though. Experiencing more than seeing ...that is the motto and preferably not too rushed. A trip without time pressure and lots of activities, well that is the idea. Unfortunately due to the visa requirements of South African passport holders, it is not possible to just decide on a whim and go where the wind takes us, it does need to be planned. We're trying to keep the planning as loose as possible though (rather tough with Heike around !)
Can anybody do anything regards the weakening rand though?!?

Hey Clint and Heike !!!!!! Looking at the pics of your trip and reading the finer lines,you guys have really gone the extra mile to enjoy yourselves.Clint ? you must get your swing together and practice on the boat with a broomstick because we're going to sweep you away with your 0 handicap heh heh !!!!!! When are you guys back as I would like to arrange a game.I also still have that special at S/bosch till end of Sept as well as Erinvale till end of Oct.

Brings back so many memories.Played St.Andrews with a dear, dear friend back in the 60,s when we wnt to the pro shop and paid our green fees and played the O and A with maybe, maybe,! 20 other people on the goldf course.My godsons step brother then went on to study at St.Andrews with Kate and William(dare I call them that!!) and yes, so many memories.

The Lake district used to be our stomping ground many, many years ago.I was brought up in the Lake District when a few hundred cars travelled there at a weekenf.Now it is tens of thousandsOn a beautiful day its beautiful.On a cold ,wet, windy day its England!!

Hi Lyn ! Glad we survived it ! And today we did another one of those "doddle" cycles - collected the bikes at 10h00 and handed them back after 17h00 - up and down hills and then some very wet, muddy and bumpy single track. Down was even worse than up !! But luckily not too long. Fantastic scenery, country lanes and through forrests along the lakes. And when the sun comes out it is really pretty !
