Me again !
We've had a couple of lovely days in Zadar, it's a beautiful 'old town' with old walls, lots of Roman architecture and some interesting sights. We went to a museum of glass, which had some beautiful Tiffany lights. It also had a live glass blowing demonstration, there was no-one there when we went to see it so James, being his usual self, opens up a side door (no-one seemed to be around) so he moaned loudly about the fact there was supposed to be a demonstration and then banged on the glass viewing wall whilst continuing his mutterings . . . two seconds later a guy pops his head out and waves us into the studio to watch the demonstration - once we'd overcome our embarrassment it was excellent to watch, he was very Dynamo in his style, waving the red hot glass in our faces and being a complete showman but he was incredibly talented and it was amazing to see bottles created in front of us.
There is also a 'sea organ' an amazing set of steps against the sea wall which have pipes and air holes cut into them, and they make a sound, a bit like whale music which changes with the tides and wind. Next to this is a light show on the floor which comes alive like a disco lightshow when the sun sets.
We've had a lovely studio apartment whilst we have stayed here so have cooked in most nights although tonight we ate out and had a great dinner with some lovely Croatian wine and delicious cake for dessert.
Tomorrow we are back to camping, moving south to Split for a few days.
Lots of love x x
