Today we went for a drive with Danika to a nearby town. Steve wanted to take a photo of a plark in a hotel for his girl friend. Her grandad, who is Canadian had fought in the war with the tanks and apparently there was some monument there. After we found it we went for a walk through the streets. This morning we had a big sleep in and got up just before lunch. I was really tired after contiki so was good to catch up on some sleep. Paul's aunty and uncle don't have a toaster so we used the oven. You use the timer on the oven and once the timer has finished it turns the oven off. I think they eat more fresh bread than toasted. This morning was one of the most sad and emotional days I've experienced in a long time. The day had come where we had to say goodbye to all our friends that we had meet on our tour. Three of the guys had to catch an early flight to Mykonos. Today we had a free day in Amsterdam. I didn't want to do any of the big things like the Heineken Experience or Anne Frank's house as I know Laille wants to do those things too, so it seems silly to do them more than once. Today was our first day in Holland. Our first stop was a cheese farm and clog maker's house. A girl in traditional clothing met us at the front and explained to us how the wheels of cheese are made. After that we walked through into the second room where we were given a demonstration of how clogs are hand crafted. We were then given time to walk around, purchase any goods we wanted and sample the different types of cheese. That was my favourite part. I love chees...
