Today we went into Amsterdam with Daniella and Steve. Daniella drove most of the way and then we caught a tram into the city. We were walking down one of the main streets in Amsterdam when we bumped into Laille. She was meant to come out to Heidi and Frans' house today, but decided to stay in Amsterdam for another night and catch the train to Amersfoot tomorrow. She had a bus tour booked for 2pm so came and had lunch with us first. I had the yummiest hot chocolat...

Today we went for a drive with Danika to a nearby town. Steve wanted to take a photo of a plark in a hotel for his girl friend. Her grandad, who is Canadian had fought in the war with the tanks and apparently there was some monument there. After we found it we went for a walk through the streets. I've the flu with sore ears and throat again so I was hoping to find a pharmacy. We found one in the end so I stocked up on panadol and throaties, as you can't just walk...

This morning we had a big sleep in and got up just before lunch. I was really tired after contiki so was good to catch up on some sleep. Paul's aunty and uncle don't have a toaster so we used the oven. You use the timer on the oven and once the timer has finished it turns the oven off. I think they eat more fresh bread than toasted.
