Day 35 Saturday 26th July Cape Hillsborough to Eurimbula NP (600km) We woke to a slight drizzle, so packed up fairly quickly, and without having breakfast, just in case the rain got any heavier.....it didn't! Day 33 Thursday 24th July Black River to Cape Hillsborough NP....with a detour to Airlie Beach....(450km) Once again we had wet canvas...but from the heavy dew; no rain. The sun dried it off a little, but we wanted to be on our way, so didn't wait for it all to be dry. Once through the outskirts of Townsville and lots more roadworks, our first stop was in the town of Ayr, where we got fuel, some supplies and had a coffee. There are no road trains allowed this...

Day 32 Wednesday 23rd July Cobbold Gorge to Black River (near Townsville- 400 km) We packed up very reluctantly, this has been such a great camping spot! As per usual there were the usual animals to contend with on the road out.....mainly cattle and 'Roos. We travelled back the way we had come, as far as Forsayth and then headed east to Einasleigh.
