We have been slacking a bit, so we are going to fill you in on our past weeks. A couple of weeks back we went to London for our second visit. It was a shorter visit, due to extreme wind, but we still had a blast. We toured the London Dungeons, which is actually a theatrical, interactive experience that explains the history and pop culture of London. It was actually quite impressive. For a portion of the tour we rode on small boats through dark underground tunnels and Erin was put into a torture chamber. It was fun to see a glimpse of London through the different eras. After the tour, we wandered through St. James Park, Green Park, and Hyde Park and hopped on the tube to get to Little Venice. The weather got a little bit rough, so after looking around Little Venice we headed back home.
There is a big rugby tournament going on over here called Six Nations. Everybody here gets really excited for the weekend matches, so we have joined in on the fun. We have enjoyed a couple of pubs with Erin's boss and some other friends and they have taught us everything that we need to know about rugby. It is an awesome and brutal sport.
When we first arrived in Reading we joined a group called InterNations. This is a community of people who have traveled here from all over the world and who live around the Reading area. It is a fantastic way to meet some new friendly faces and spend time with people who are going through similar changes. We attended our first InterNations event at a bar/restaurant called Milk and look forward to future events as well!
