We haven't had a wrist watch on all week. Time is marked by the arrival of meals; 7:30 breakfast, 12:30 lunch and 7:30 dinner punctured by servings of fresh fruit at 10am and 4pm while the number of days remaing onboard are displayed by the diminishing row of cans of toxic water. We bought 6, one for each night to have with our evening gin . Sadly, tonight only one can remains.
We have sailed all the way up Rio Dulce today and are anchored in Lago Izabel. We are all sad to end the trip. Our two Italians departed in Livingston to head up the coast.so we spend the last evening drinking with our American friends. Trump has been discussed, and like every other American we have met, he is loathed by all. It seems that his supporters do not leave their home country. We have now agreed that anyone who mentions his name, be thrown overboard.
One positive thing about leaving the yacht is that we do all look forward to having a decent shower. For the last 6 nights, we have been restricted to a litre of fresh water each with which to rinse off the sea salt. Not very effective and we are all clammy and desperate for a good wash.
