We made it to Koh Samui airport for the second time! The plane we got on to fly to Phuket was the smallest plane we have been on, it was 2 seats either side, held 46 passengers and rather than good old engines had propellers!! So we were both wondering whether we would even make take off! I just had my head in a book for the flight as being in such a small plane made me nervos, lol. We flew no higher than 14,ooo (which is roughly the height of a skydive, so that was scary thinkin we may jump out of a plane at that height!!). The actual fklight was fine tho, no turbalance and only took 45mins!

We got in a minibus with a load of other ppl and it took about an hour to get to Patong beach, which is one of the main areas where backpackers etc go in Phuket. Where we got dropped off, there was a hostel right there and because we felt so tired and our bags are over 17kg each i didnt wana walk far! The room was only 400baht (8 quid) but it was a dive, literally 2 beds and a shared bathroom which was minging!! Also we were right next to Rock City, so neither of us got any sleep. That night tho, we headed down the main strip, went in a few bars and had a drink. The strip is abit like magaluf, smelt of sick, so many ladyboys and girls dancing on poles that clearly didnt wana be there!! We also stayed 3 mins from a really big shopping mall, so went round there which was gd, although we cant buy anything as we have NO room at all in our backpacks!

The next day we walked further down the road to find better accomodation, and we ended up in a much nicer room for the same price, with tv and aircon, above a little mexican restuarant. We spent some time researching stuff on the net that day and walked along the beach, we didnt do too much that day as trying to save some money! So that night we went bowling as got 2 for 1 ticket, so was only 300 baht for 2 games and was a really gd centre. Mike won of course!!! Then we went to carrerfour, a massive supermarket in the shopping centre which sells everything!! Bought a slice of pizza and other bits for dinner, then went back and chilled at our hotel room and watched some cheesey american tv programme, but it was a cheap day which was good!!

On the 17th we got a minibus to the port and caught an hour and a half ferry over to Koh PhiPhi, which was really nice as we both sunbathed on the top of the boat the whole way.

We are back in Phuket 2moro (21st) for one night as we then fly from there to Kuala Lumpar on the 22nd.
