We decided in the end to venture to the prawn park yesterday and are we glad we did?! It was really good fun but it was a little late in the day when we set off because didn't realise how much there'd be to do there so had to miss a few things out. We were taken on tour behind the scenes of the prawn park and learnt loads of 'interesting' prawn facts, we got to feed baby prawns (this really freaked me out I'm not good with feeding animals so it turns out) and best of all we went prawn fishing!!! We sat on the banks of a big pond with rods and bait. We managed to catch 4 big whoppers in the end and it was absolutely hilarious. I of course was screaming a lot especially when I had to get the hook out of them and they weren't quite dead. Note to self I need to be less of a wuss! The restaurant offered to cook them up for free for us but the bus came so we threw them on the bbq when we got back to the hostel. To be honest it wasn't that good to eat too fiddly and messy but we were still very proud of our catch.

Last night we went out on the town for a few Radler's. Not exactly party central in Taupo but it was a good night actually, ended up at a cheesy nightclub called Holy Cow playing pool badly. Now just waiting for our bus to pick us up and we're off to Napier.
