So we arrived in New Zealand on Friday after spending the majority of Australia Day in Sydney airport, but seeing as Sydney airport is right on Botony Bay where Captain Cook first landed I guess it was kind of fitting. We got a flight from Hobart around 6am and our flight to Aucland wasn't leaving until about 5 in the afternoon so we bought the worlds most expensive breakfast (robbing gits) and found some chairs and just slept for as long as we could.

Chrissie, Dave and Jack picked us up from the airport in Auckland when we finally arrived. It was so lovely to see them, i was so excited! Our room is like a little apartment downstairs with its own entertainment centre (plasma, dvd, xbox, internet) seating area, bathroom and even our own fridge. And bless Chrissie she's so kind she made up these little piles of towels with chocolate and champagne and gifts on (I took a photo).

So on Saturday we were shown around a little. Went to the shopping centre then into Auckland and had a beer on the harbour front. It was very pretty and very hot, i thought it was supposed to be cold in New Zealand. Then we went to the pub in the village where Jack works for a couple and had a bbq for tea.

Today seeing as it was so warm we went to the beach nearby. It was only about 10 mins from their house and it was so pretty. I'm tired now because being in the hot tub so cant really be bothered to write much except that its so nice to see Chrissie and family and of course mad Charlie the dog. Oh and we're off on our jollies on Tuesday so might not write for a while. Don't ask me where we're off (all these long bloody Moari names!) but I've seen photos and stuff and it looks beautiful so hopefully might actually get a tan (yeah right).
