Time had gone so quickly and it was already our final day of San Blas paradise. We sailed to El Porvenir, our final stop and Jess, Martine, Liv and I went to take advantage of our last hours on the beach in the beautiful blue waters, soaking up the Caribbean sun.
After our final lunch on the boat, Jonathan confirmed that he had for our passports stamps at Panama border immigration and that we would soon be picked up by a speedboat and taken to land. I was upset that the whole experience was over but at the same time excited for a shower and a proper bed for the night! It was definitely sad saying goodbye to Jonathan and Luis, they really were such great crew to have aboard.
The speed boat took us to Panama mainland, which was extremely jungly and we took a jeep pretty much through the rainforest for a few hours to reach Panama City. We were all so knackered that we all checked in to Mamallena Hostel in Panama City together and jumped on the chance to get clean, sand and salt free and into some different clothes.
Seven of us, Leanne, Jess, Martine, Nancy, Selina, Liv and I went for a last meal to a local restaurant with an extensive meat and fish menu. It was a fabulous meal and I really had such a wonderful time with these people the past five days. Everyone was so exhausted that nothing was more appealing than the thought of an early night, and I did just that.
