We set off to climb Mount Calvario, having read that the views from the top are worth the steep, torturous hike up there. It was pretty damn difficult completing a climb that steep at such high altitude and Liv and I had to take it slow to let our lungs acclimatise. After breakfast we got on our boat to Isla del Sol, the island of the sun, for the day. We were able to sit on the roof of the boat and it was really pleasant sailing across lake Titicaca in the sunshine. We took a bus from La Paz to Copacabana early in the morning. The bus stopped en route as we reached Lake Titicaca and in order to cross it we hopped on a speed boat, whilst the bus was ferried across on a raft. Lake Titicaca is the highest body of water in the world at over 3,500 m in altitude; it's an absolutely massive lake and spans both Bolivia and Peru.
