More than happy to leave Kuta I got a bus and speed boat to Nusa Lembongan, and having met a lovely girl named Robin on the bus it was a very pleasant journey. The speed boat really was a speed boat and absolutely flew through the water (like the beast ride in New York!). I ended up getting an Ojek (motorcycle taxi) to a dive centre witttttth my huge backpack still on my back which was interesting to say the least.
After some lunch I eventually found somewhere to stay, a place called D&B Bungalows as there aren't really any hostels on the island, and got straight into my king sized bed for a luxurious nap. The girl Emily met in Nicaragua, Holly, who she then travelled with for the whole of South East Asia just happened to also be on this Island so she came to meet me and it was so lovely to meet her after having heard soooo much about her! We chatted for ages and then I went for dinner with her and a huge crowd of people which was so much fun - and Robin happened to be in the same group! I got talking to some great people including a guy named Mark from Australia who I got on really well with. Some people knew each other but for most people there was a lot of new faces and a lot of getting to know each other, which results in such interesting conversations.
We all went to a bar for some drinks and it turned out to be a really fun evening with completely new people for me - always exciting! Even though I had only just met Holly it felt like we had been friends for a long time having been told so much about each other through Emily which was funny. It was wonderful to be on a new island with new friends.
