I had a seriously great lie in for the first time in a lonnnng time. There was a full island power outage in any case so bed sounded way more appealing. I walked down to Blue Corner Dive school and set up there for the day on a bean bag facing the beautiful beach and enjoying the sunshine and infinity pool.
I met some really nice people at blue corner and spent the entire day and evening chatting to them. One guy named Ricki was from Leeds so we had a great conversation talking about how amazing Leeds is and what a fabulous city it is to live in - which made me miss it! The sunset at blue corner was absolutely stunning; the sunsets will definitely be something I will miss when I leave here. Blue Corner has a weekly beach party every Friday but it was so lovely and chilled, and super social. A guy called Jason bought my drinks all evening so it was nice and cheap for me yipeeeee.
I went for a nightly swim in the infinity pool with Felix, a guy from Berlin who I'd been talking to all night which was fun - I love the life I'm currently living, it's going to be so hard to go home after this trip to a job, ugh. I got out the pool to discover that my clothes were gone.....I was so so confused - who would take my clothes or how could a dress just disappear?! After almost an hour of walking around the beach party in my bikini asking people if they had seen my clothes (mortifyingly embarrassing) an Indonesian local finally spoke up and said "I see before dogs with black shirt in mouth". I though "oh f***ing great" and went on a hunt for the dogs for another guy to say he saw someone pull the dress off a dog - so the Indonesian man says "go and ask all men to see who stop the dog". So of course I did just this until finally I found the guy who had saved my dress from being chewed up and eaten. I gratefully took the dog dribble dress and had to walk home dripping wet in my bikini at 10.30 pm. And now I'm sure I'll be remembered at Blue Corner as the girl who's dress was stolen by a dog, fab.
Back at my bungalow I FaceTimed Naomi for the first time in so long and it was loveeeeely to see her face. We had a great catch up and it was truly the perfect end to a wonderfully chilled day.
