Missed alarm so didnt rise until 8.Went to the masuleum which can only be described as freaky! Had to walk the whole way around the palace and the amount of guards around was amazing.Got yelled at for walking on the path between some grass, still dont really understand why.To get into the palace we were lined up in pairs and then marched in in groups. We had our bags taken off of us, we had to go thorugh security control, we were given our bags back and then we had our cameras and phones taken off of us. We we finally allowed into the masuleum and there were guards in every corner of the room as Lisa got told off for whispering and I got told off for holding my hands behind my back. Finally got to see the body which was really creepy, I thought that it would be a tomb not the actual bosy that you would see, but no it was all on display.Again we were shephered around it and then out of the other door without stopping even though there was noone in front or behind us.Got our cameras back and then made a dash for it as we didnt want to pay to walk around the gardens but couldnt see the exit so we waited until the changing of the guards and then legged it towards the fench and skirted around it, suprised we werent shot in retrospect but it would have taken more than an hour the other way and I think we had both had enough of communism for one day.Came back to the hotel and then met up with Sian and Sue and went for some lunch and then went to a water puppet museum which none of us really knew anything about but it was actually really good and accompanied by a great band playing all local music, it didnt even matter that much that we couldnt understand the plot.Went to the market afterwards but it wasnt very good so headed back to the hotel and then quickly out to the supermarket to grab some stuff for the next day.Had a picnic in the park to say goodbye to all of the Aussies and to welcome the new people that are joining us for Laos.Had a kebab off of the street which was actually really good.
