Really long day.Left at 6.30am and didnt get to the Laos border until 4pm.Immigration all went smoothly even with my soggy passport although we all had to pay them a dollar each before they weould even look at our passports, corruption!!! Finally we all made it through and another hour on a different bus took us to Lac Sao which was a tiny village with one restaurant and one pub.Went with the bus driver to play boules in the evening which was really good fun, the locals thrashed us, they were pretty good although the Norwegians had a natural flare for it as well.I sat and watched all of the kids playing checkers with bottle tops but I think that they have different rules out here to in England meaning that they beat me everytime.Headed back and went to get some dinner which was OK, some of our group went to the pub but we headed home as it is another long day tomorrow.
