Up early as had to get on the shuttle to get to the ferry but 7.30. Jo still in a mood so she stayed in Wellington another night while Nicole and I and the boys got on the ferry. It was really windy, so much so that I slid off my seat whilst asleep and Nicole was rather ill.

Arrived on the other side and there were only 16 of us on the coach, compared to 51 on the N. Island which felt a bit weird.

Stayed in a 'hotel' as they called themselves, really nice there and it is a bit of a shame that we only stayed one night but it was a small town and we me Katie and Penny and Mel (new blood for the group) so we all left the same day to travel together.

Free beer tasting in the evening and a roast dinner which was amazing. We had a wander down to the supermarket to buy a crate and then walked to 'the centre of NZ' which was a landmark at the top of the hill with amazing views over the bay and mountains. Sat and watched the sunset which was really cool. Really nice evening and took heaps of photos.
