Our first full day in Cape Town, after a lovely sleep in our nice hotel we got up to explore.
We wandered into town and saw the markets before making our way down to the V&A waterfront - lots of shopping and restaurants to explore.

There is normally a small swingbrdge you can use to cross to hte other side of the harbour but it was down for maintenance so we had to grab a ride on Tommy the Tugboat - Gerry our crew gave us great banter for the 2 minute ride (the seal we could see was having a good year since he was sitting on a goodyear tyre!)

We wandered back into town and like any good tourist we jumped on the open top bus tour, we took the blue line through the city and then out to the botanical gardens where we jumped off for an hour to explore we then rode to the World of Birds where we got to see lots of giant owls along with all the colourful parrots and flamingos they had.

We then rode along the coast back into the V&A waterfront for a drink and dinner - we had dinner at Karibu but it was rubbish compared to what we had eaten the previous night, very dissappointing.

Taxi back home for our last night of comfort...
