We had a late start this morning - our temporary truck came to pick us up from Saasveld lodge at 11am, we will change to our permanent truck once we cross into Namibia. We had an early start this morning to repack our bags and check out of our villa, we left our bags there and walked back down to the V&A waterfront for our Robben Island trip, we had a beautiful day for it although it was still cool. Our first full day in Cape Town, after a lovely sleep in our nice hotel we got up to explore. We wandered into town and saw the markets before making our way down to the V&A waterfront - lots of shopping and restaurants to explore. There is normally a small swingbrdge you can use to cross to hte other side of the harbour but it was down for maintenance so we had to grab a ride on Tommy the Tugboat - Gerry our crew gave us great banter for the 2 minute ride ...

We arrived safely into Cape Town this afternoon along with the Sth African 7's Rugby team so we were greeted at the airport with singing and dancing which was a nice touch! Our villa is beautiful and the owners are lovely and have spent a lot of time with us explaining where to go and what to do in our short time here. Our next couple of days will be weather dependent but Thursday is meant to be nice and fine so we will reserve that for our trip up Table Mountai...
