We arrived safely into Cape Town this afternoon along with the Sth African 7's Rugby team so we were greeted at the airport with singing and dancing which was a nice touch!
Our villa is beautiful and the owners are lovely and have spent a lot of time with us explaining where to go and what to do in our short time here. Our next couple of days will be weather dependent but Thursday is meant to be nice and fine so we will reserve that for our trip up Table Mountain.
We headed down Kloof St for dinner and ended up at Arnolds (www.arnolds.co.za) if the food here is anything to go by then we are in for a treat. I had grilled Kudu loin rolled in cumin seed and sea salt with garlic potatoes and berry jus - it is possibly the best thing I've ever eaten.
Nick was pretty impressed with his meat platter which had Crocodile ribs, Ostrich, Gemsbok (oryx) and BBQ Warthog - he's now got the meat sweats but is a big fan of Warthog.
We were obviously in the right place as Johnathon Rhys Myers (actor from The Tudors) was also there which our waitress was very excited about
Great start to our trip - we're going to get an early night tonight and then explore Cape Town in the morning
