aww iv got loads of nice photos to put on from my dads camera but they wont work, il figure something out so i can get them on here.

well so much has happened! in between looking everywhere for an apartment and for a job, which has been quite stressful. think i have found a job though in a shoe shop. pay is rubbish but i think i can make enough. it will do for now anyway. I have reserved a room and its right in the centre of the city so thats great.

So the past few days....ive had christmas dinner one night then the next day we had my birthday party, cake and candles the works ( supplied by good old caroline). We have visited numerous beaches north and west of Auckland. having the car is soo useful! Played minigolf, joel won, swam in a waterfall, it was freezing! Today we ventured further north and saw the biggest trees, one 2000yrs old and 5m in diameter, well we only got to see a picture of that one, didnt have enough time to drive further up north. In the afternoon we rented wetsuits and snorkels and went snorkelling in the sea in Cape Rodney near Goat island.

oh yeah last night we went to a bar that is completely made out of ice. we got there thinking a fleece would be good enough but instead they kitted us out in fur coats and boots. Our glasses were made of ice too. got cold quite quickly it was minus 5 degrees. good experience though.

the apartment il be staying in has free internet so il come on then so i dont have to spend more money, that will be on the 16th! so until then xxxx

 p.s. forgot to mention we went to a comedy show, with about 10 differnet comedians doing stand up, was pretty good, didnt get any of the kiwi jokes, just not british humour
