What a wonderful day it has been! We woke up early as usual, this time to get a cab to Ao Nang where we boarded a boat that would take us around Koh Phi Phi. The first stop was Bamboo island, it got its name from all the bamboo trees but after the tsunami they were all knocked down so there is only a few left. Next stop was a cave called the " Viking cave " because it looked like a ship inside, people collect swallows nests there that are a delicacy in china. Took a quick turn around pileh bay and then snorkelling! We snorkelled around Maya bay, and then walked on the beach, famous from the film the beach and Emelie ate her freeze dried ice cream she got from our friends Helena and Frida, it tasted nice, but a bit dry! Next the boat the took us to monkey island, but we weren't allowed to go ashore, the monkeys aren't always friendly.. Lunch on phi phi don was nice, Emelie bought a nice fruit bowl for her future living room. Another snorkel stop at lohsamah bay, loads of fish. Then we returned to ao nang.
We made friends with a French-Canadian guy sitting opposite us on the boat called David. So we decided to meet up in the evening and check out the night market in Krabi. But first we wanted to try Thai massage! It was great, although we were quite stiff. It's nothing like Swedish massage but we felt relaxed afterwards.
The night Market was an experience. Little food stalls everywhere with tables behind them, like an outdoor restaurant. Krista liked hers, but Emelie wasn't as keen, too spicy and not enough meet. Later we went to a Thai bar, had a couple of drinks then returned home as we were leaving at 7am!
