After breakfast we sorted out our transportation to coolangata. A little town all the way back near surfers paradise. After a quick surf on the Internet, we walked along a very nice route up to the Byron bay lighthouse. And who should we meet on the most easterly point of Australia? Mike! A Canadian guy we met on Fraser island. The three of us walk up to the top and had some ice-cream. One of the best ice-creams Krista has ever tasted!
On the way back down we saw some tandem para-gliders. It was really cool watching them just run off the edge of a cliff and then just soar in the air. We found Nathan and Katarina on the beach and hung out with them until we had to leave. Played some frisbee and relaxed, mostly frisbee though.
After returning to the hostel and eating a quick noodle dinner, we said goodbye and left with the greyhound to coolangata. When we arrived we had to make our way to the airport. So to save money we walked there, it only took about 50min, it was a nice walk. Even though our large bags were a bit heavy.. In the airport we watched a really funny artist called tim minchin perform with the Sydney philharmonic orchestra. It was brilliant! Then we got kicked out..
We already new we'd have to spend the night outside, so we got our stuff, found a couple of benches and got out our sleeping bags. We slept in shifts and only got about 2h sleep. Yawn.
