Day of Disaster. We were planning on re-visiting Pompeii today to catch up on what we missed yesterday, but decided against it because the weather was a bit pants and we are really trying to save some pennies now. So we headed back to the port with our rucksacks just to sit by the sea for a while before getting the train back to Rome (flight to Munich tomorrow). It started to rain hard so we thought we'd just head back to the tube station and head to the city...

Was quite a long train ride to Napoli, but again through some lovely countryside. As we approached the city though we could sense it wasn´t going to be our favourite place - there was rubbish piled high everywhere )they are having a big issue with rubbish strikes). Once we arrived we travelled out to the hostel, again not very central. But this one was near a small port so it was very pretty for a change! Had our own room too which makes a nice change. W...

The train journey to Rome was beautifeul, you could really identify the Tuscany countryside. Took a while to get here too, nearly 4 hours! We thankfully got an early traing from Florence as the hostel in Rome was very tricky to find and again about 6km from the centre. Massive though, and we were in separate dorms! Once we arrived we found a fab English speaking Tourist Office and got given tonnes of info on the city and recommendations on where to visit in 2 day...

When we arrived in Florence we found a tourist office to direct us to the hostel - it was bloody miles out of town! So we had to get a bus about 6km out of the centre. Even the driveway was a trek! We paid a little bit extra to have the luxury of what was advertised as a "Bungalow" - more like a shed with 2 bunks but at least we were on our own. Visited Pisa today en route to Florence. Didn´t stay too long, just enough to show Dan the tower and take a few pics. Its a funny place, not really much to the city and the tower and cathedral are right out of the centre. The tower really does lean though! Its amazing it stands at all. We were going to climb it but had our rucksacks on and they wanted 15€ to do it! Its nice, but not that nice. So we jumped back on a traing and headed to Florence...
