Thurs 6th: Went to Monaco today, after a very bad nights sleep - our room mate snored VERY loudly. I ended up banging the headboard to shut him up! We knew there was some serious money there but not that much!! The boats were just phenomenal, they put most of our houses to shame. Thgey even have buzzers on the end of the boarding planks to get let on! Also, after being there 5 mins we saw 2 Ferrari´s and a Bentley! We saw a few more posh cars as well, including a Rolls Royce. Was actually disappointed with the town itself, it has no character and is full of high rise buildings. And considering we´re not up to Monaco salarie, we had lunch in a very highly rated local restaurant - McDonalds! When we got back to Nice we went down to the sea and had a ride on a ferris wheel which was cool and had a quick glipse of the old town before eating and going to bed (thankfully Snorer left this morn!).

Fri 7th: We got up early to make the most of the morning before the train back to Kirsty. Headed to the old town, which was really pretty and much nicer than the modern shopping centre. Nice flower market too. We sat on the beach for a while and mucked around with the pebbles - I managed to kick one and hit Dan in the head which I found highly amusing of course!! Once we got back to Chivari it was too early to meet Kirsty from work so we spent the early evening Italian style and had an apperitif! Dan had beer and I had a lovely champagne cocktail with blended strawberries in, mmm. Took Luca´s advice and went to a really nice bar and had great nibbles. Just spent tonight indoors, all Kirsty and Luca´s friends came up and we had risotto and a reasonably early night.
