28th - 3rd june/ july

ok, the bus ride from nice to barcelona was crap, it took forever, but we finally arrived in barceloa at around 8.30 at night, but luckily it was still light. stacey and i were ment to catch up with friend we met in croatia. but without a phone, it was kinda hard to catch up with anyone. so, without any accomadation booked or avaliable in this hostel, we drank 4 jugs of sangria and met a couple that gave up their bed for stacey and i to share, getting closer to her every day.

the next morning with a red wine hang over saw some amazing buildings designed by gaudi, that massive sangrida familia, absolutly magnificant. i never new this masterpeice existed. breath taking. that evining after our siesta, (by the way im bringin the siesta back to perth) we went to les rambles (the main street of barcelona) and watched the finals in the euro cup, spain vs germany, and the vibe the feeling in barcelona after spain belted the germans in the world cub was unbelievable. oh my god, the streets were alive with peolpe, celebrations, flares and more people. spanians juping on building and flags flying on every post. one of the most memorable things i will take from this trip. when in my life time will the country i am visiting win the euro cup.

the next couple of days were spent in awe if gaudi's work all around the town of barcelona, amazing. one other eveining, we went to a spanish cooking class learning how to make sangria, tapas and paellas. then off to the greates pub crawl ever. the next day again was wasted, seeing all the sights of the hostel in barcelona, including the porcelain passage. whoa.. after spending the last 4 nights sharing the same bed as stacey we hoped there was accomadation for the final night in barcelona. no, again we met another couple willing to share their bed so we didnt have to sleep on the floor. luckliy enough there was another free bed in our dorm so we each got a bed. phew.

up early to try and sneak out of the hostel before anyone noticed that we didnt pay for the last 5 nights accomadation, nearly getting caught and safely arriving on the usabout but on the road to valencia.
