ok, from the ferry boat from split to ancona, we were literally on the deck, inside, sleeping on the floor, with the lights on all night!! so i snuck down stairs into an area that was sorta like areoplane seats, quieter and darker and finally got some sleep. spent another 10 hours on the bouat and arrived in ancona at 7am (that awful place where we had to wast alot of time last time). stored our bags at a hostel and got to have alittle walk around town, the morning was lovely but the weather came along and started sprinkiling. after20 games of uno and learning a new card game the busabout bus came to pick us up ant take us to rome.
the camping groundwhere we stayed was alittle far out and we got to rome pretty late in the afternoon so stacey and i decideed to stay at the hostel. we were camping which worked out way cheeper (but the tents were a huge box with a perminant structure, not really camping i recon). stacey bumped into her friend from perth that we have trying to get in contact with so we partied with him at the hostel grounds. 3 euro tequila shots and a shisha bar suited us really well.
the next day was a late start, got into town around 2 and saw loads of the sites, like the trevi fountin, the colussum and loads of other hystoric sites (how bad is that, i cant even remember what they are called) but they really were memberable. stacey and i then went for a romantic cheap italian dinner, still wearing out sneakers and sweaty shirts, sippin on red wine.
next day up early to get to the vatican city for 8am. but the uncultured, not religous pair from australia wore shorty shorts cause it was a pretty hot day couldnt get in!!!!! aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhgggggggggg. what a pair of douch bags, ah well not to worry, we had a grump but now we can laugh about it. we wernt to worried only because we will have to do the same busabout rout when we catch the ferry from athens back to ancona. so we will do a proper tour and cover ourselves up for next time. bumped into old busabout crew that we thought we would never see again, josh, or as we call him father duck brought a bbq for 12 euro so we cooked on that. definalty know now that rome wasnt built in a day!!!!
up early to leave for florence the next morning.
