ok, picking up from rome left in the morning again, and arrived in florence at about 5.30pm and realised that the busabout location drops us off way out of town at some camping site, so we caught the first bus we found to get into florence town centre and hoped that we got accomadation somewhere!!! arrived at this amazing hosted for 25 euro a night with brekky, and thought that was a good deal, until we found out where we were staying, stacey stayed in a 8 bed girls dorm and i stayed in an extra little nurses quarters, on my own, i dont even think there was ment to be a bed there but there was!! cold, white, loud room, what a great night sleep that was. before bed we went out with the busabout crew to a, (you will never believe it) a steak house, i guess the entree was pasta and we had gelati for dessert, so it was alittle italian i guess. but of a rip off but i guess you win some and you loose some

the next day, the hostel was doing free walking tours around the old part of florence. acutally got some culture into me which blew my socks off. learning about the style of churches and why exactly it was built this way, so interesting. then after the 3 hour hystory lesson stacey and i went on our first officail shopping spree, went abit crazy in the markets and the little side stalls, got some amazing peices of jewerllry and dying to get a leather jacket but not enough room in my backpack and they were nearly 200 euro each, maybe next time. spent that evening indoors, after realising that our accomadation for greece is nearly costing us an arm and a leg, need to re evaluate the money situation. so we had canned soup for dinner and spent the evening on the free internet catching up with some goss at home. that night we got a room together and i got out of the nurses quarters. met some crazy 17 year olds that were travelling europe to the same extent that staacey and i are pretty much doing, how can they afford it?????? crazy to think they even went to ibiza!!!!

the next day, checked out of this hostel because there were no rooms left, did another free walking tour and another quick shop to pick up some last supplies then met staceys friends that we bumped into in rome. lucky for us they already had accomadation so we snuck our bags into their room and started drinking early afternoon. that night after alittle too much liquid medication we went to a really pretentious bar, serving like jacks and coke for nearly 10 euro, and there was me and stace, dancing around in thongs and seeing how many drinks we didnt have to pay for. many drinks later, called it a night, lucky for us, the other 2 guys that were staying in that room found another bed to sleep in so we got to stay there for nothing, whoo hoo free accomadation, suited us well.

the next moning had to get up and on the local bus to get to the camp site at 7 in the morning after only getting home at 4. dragged ourselves on that bus to meet the busabout bus for 8am. holy crap we made it!!!!
