21st - 23 june

after the huge night in florence and making the bus at 7 in the morning, we drove for 3 hours to get to pisa, took some reduculas poses of us pushing the leaning tower over, same as what everyone does i guess, stinking hot weather, the hottest weather we have come across yet.

then arrived at this little town we knew nothing about, la spezia. caught the train to some national park but on the train trip, after buying our train tickets, we didnt know we had to validate them, so the fun police came along and fined us with a 5 euro fine, was ment to be a 50 euro fine but because there were 8 of us that didnt validate our tickets i guess he let us off gental. arrived at our camp site and scored us a cheap little tent, well wasnt really camping, it was another canvas like box with proper beds inside, slept off our hang over that hot afternoon, swept out the local baby scorpians out of our tent then walked down to the beach for a freshly, light battered seafood grill. stacey ate the octopus.... ewwww. another early night

the next day started early, the stalest vegimite roll for breakfast then we walked the 5 villages of cinque terre. the most amazing walk i have ever done and also, not a walk at all, it was definatly a hardcore hike, hardest hike i have ever done. luckly we were told to take shoes cause i prolly would of worn thongs. up these steep mountains and down to the villages for the best swims ever. found out at the end of the day that we of course picked the hottest day to hike for nearly 5 hours!!!! but such an unforgetable experience and something that would take alot for me to do it again. f***en amazing!!!!!!!! cant descibe the experience in the small amount of internet time i have been allocated!!! that ev ening, we thought we deserved a big fat pizza, easiest meal we could find then slept off that hike.

the next morning after feeling so stiff (serves me right for not stretching after exercise) had to leave our national park camp site to catch the train back to la spezia for the busabout bus to pick us up and take us to Nice.
