We arrived in the busy, buzzing city of Hanoi yesterday. It is one crazy place but I love it. We have rented a bike today to tour the city as it's too big to do on foot, however the bike wasn't automatic like the past ones so it wasn't the smoothest ride at first but jord got the hang of it eventually. I mean women ride them in 4inch heals over here so it would be pretty embarassing if he couldn't, well I told him that anyway haha. We went to a prison where they kept Vietnamese and American pilots during the war which was really interesting- the Americas got treated 10times better than any of the Vietnamese from the south they captured which was really wiered to see. We then went to an old cathedral which was amazingly beautiful before stopping for lunch at a French bakery which was amazing too!! We also went for a walk around the lake and to a water puppet show in the Vermont which was a bit odd, it told the story of why there was a building in the lake or something along those lines I couldnt really follow as all the talking was in Vietnamese which gave me a bit or a headache after a while but the puppets we're so well made. After we treated ourselves to the cinema which was about £1.50 each, all the films are in English so it's 10times better here than paying £10 each at home. We watched 22 jump street which was hilarious! We then came back and packed up our bags once more for the next part of our journey which we're starting tommorow evening, to the north of Vietnam to sapa. Where we will be trekking in the rice fields and visiting hill tribes! But first another 12 hour bus journey! Second to last one we will do here, thank god!! Sapa looks beautiful and i'm excited to see the view, not overly excited about the walking though. Time for some tea before the journey- chicken noodle soup, yummy!! Deffinatly my favorite food from now on, I will miss it when we leave
