Today we went into Strasbourg city centre. This morning we went to the train station to get the train to the main station in Strasbourg but it never showed up! This meant we had to walk the 2.5 miles into town in 37 degree heat. Anyway we did it!!!!! And started to walk around Strasbourg. We went to 'La Petite France', a quiet area where the houses were absolutely gorgeous. We wandered around there for a while until we came across a supermarket. We bought some drinks and a wrap/sandwiches and went and sat in a park under some trees to have a picnic and cool down. There are loads of canals in Strasbourg and it's very picturesque. Then we went to the Notre Dame cathedral and it was stunning. The stained glass was brilliant. (Also in yesterday's blog I forgot to mention that we visited a cathedral in Luxembourg aswell).

Although that doesn't look like we've done much we left the hotel at 10 and started walking home at 4. We have walked 20,000 steps today which seems crazy! I'm so happy I bought those hiking shoes otherwise I would really be struggling.with my feet. It's very hot and we both had a shower on the coldest temperature! So sweaty!

We have just walked to Lidl (another mile there and back!) and bought some eggs and ketchup for omelettes. Bonsoir!
