Ella was quite sick at this stage so I was on my own. I went on the back of a motorbike into Jinja to buy some supplies. While there I had some chapati, flat bread, cooked by a street vendor. The chapati was filled with eggs and some vegetables cooked while I waited. It tasted quite good, with some cheese it would have been perfect. Travelling back through Uganda to Jinja we crossed the equator again but this time we stopped for photos. Here we saw a demonstration of the water draining in the different hemispheres. This seems to be a trick as the coriolis effect should be too weak to direct water the waters swirl despite what the Simpons has taught us. The best bit was on the equator the water drains straight down with no swirl. Although it was probably some sort of trickery too.

A free day on the tour so we took the opportunity, along with half ourgroup, for a day trip to Rwanda. It was 19 years almost to the day since the country was torn apart by the Interahamwe militia group. We visited the genocide museum which had a comprehensive coverage of the events leading up the problems then all the bloodshed.
