Ella was quite sick at this stage so I was on my own. I went on the back of a motorbike into Jinja to buy some supplies. While there I had some chapati, flat bread, cooked by a street vendor. The chapati was filled with eggs and some vegetables cooked while I waited. It tasted quite good, with some cheese it would have been perfect.
In the afternoon I did a boat trip to the source of the Nile. There was quite a bit of bird spotting which doesnt interest me too much. We did see some otters out on their daily hunt. The Nile starts at lake Victoria, 70% of the water comes out of the lake with the remaining 30% coming from a natural spring. Historically the spring would shoot up 5m in the above the water level but a dam built down stream now means the spring is unsighted. It was a nice relaxing trip with quite a knowlegabe local guide.
