20th April - We stayed the night at the same camp-site in Naivasha which isn't too far from Nairobi so we had the luxury of a bit of a sleep in. We drove back to Nairobi and said goodbye to much of the group and meet the some of the new people joining. More Australians, not that there is anything wrong with that but it is nice to meet people from other countries. We filled the day with some shopping at the local mall. In the scheme of things quite an easy day that also gave us the opportunity to have our smelly clothes washed.
21st April - Another day of driving this one with a border crossing into Tanzania for the first time. We drove to Arusha which lives under the shadow of Mount Meru. It is about 4600m, not as big as Kilimanjaro but its slopes are much stepper and more jagged. We stayed in the Snake Park camping site just outside of Arusha. They do have a snake park on site, they collect venom from different snakes from anti-venom purposes. There was black and green mambas, boomslangs, many types of cobras and then a huge python. On the python cage there was pictures of humans who had been eaten by other huge pythons.
