Hair first - my roots were beginning to show and I had brought everything I needed to remedy the situation. I prepared the dye and Sheila kindly agreed to do it for me. We have a lovely room and to ensure we didn’t get dye on the floor we decide to do it on the balcony. This was a great idea as it was in the open and we could enjoy the view as she was working away on my locks.
Three quarters of my hair done and the dye, which was on the table, was knocked and disappeared over the edge - never to be seen again. Luckily, after we had stopped laughing, Sheila managed to spread what was on the three quarters over the lot and I can see no difference between one side and the other.
Lesson - use the bathroom - no view but when you are on the 5th floor - it is safer!!
Now for the - here they are again. On our walk from Kalaw to Inle Lake there were 6 in the group. Two of them are a lovely couple, he is from France and she is from Argentina. We all got on very well and when we saw them again at Inle Lake we had a drink and a laugh.
When we were on the train going from Pyin Oo Lwin to Hsipaw- they were on the up train going the other way so we waved happily. In Bagan we were in an almost deserted temple and who should be sitting on the floor admiring a Buddha but our couple. We saw them again at the pizza place but we then said goodbye because they were leaving Myanmar for Vietnam - which is a big country. Guess who we met today - twice!!

Stephen Oakes Great - the hair dye episode made me giggle. Your exploring sounds great. Anne and I have booked for USA in Sept but thinking we enjoyed SE Asia so much that would have been a plan! Next year. X
