The public transport system in Malaysia is brilliant. I have used bus, train, monorail, grab taxi and plane. All are connected and very easy to follow. They have all been clean and on time - if there is a timetable. This morning I arrived at the main bus station in Melaka at 8.35, went to a counter bought a ticket ($2) to KL - which is a two hour journey - and found myself in a luxury coach 20 mins later. The bus station that we arrived at was on the other side of KL from my hotel but a train and monorail ride later meant I was in my room by 12 o’clock.

This afternoon I got lost in one of the bigger shopping malls. It has been tastefully decorated for Chinese New Year, see picture. By the way when I say got lost - I mean it, I couldn’t find specific shops or the way out!!
