When I got up this morning I decided that I would do nothing special as I felt a quiet day would be a good idea. So I went for a walk, as I was walking along the coast in town I came across the local park which was lovely but it also had a great beach as well. After wandering through and along both - I had a well deserved coffee.

On the way back I came across Andy who was selling an Island hopping trip at 2pm for only 40 R (about $9). What could I do but go.

So for my quiet day I spent an hour on a beach swimming, then went eagle watching and finished by visiting the largest fresh water lake in Langkawi (which is by the way made up of many, many islands. Can’t find an axact number as no-one can decide what constitutes an island.) The lake is found on Pregnant Maiden Island, called that as from one place it looks like a pregnant woman lying down.

Good result for a quiet day doing nothing.
