From Luang Prabang we headed to Phonsavanh to see the strange historic sight of The Plain of Jars - huge sandstone boulders tunneled out into jar/urn shapes, which there are photos of on here. There is no explanation for why the huge stone jars are scattered all around the town - some people think they were for collecting water and some think they were funery urns.
