Hello, sorry for the break in updating, I've had a busy few days! So, from where I left off, the rest of the group (who will be going to the ranch) arrived. There are 6 of us sharing a room, 3 Emilys, and 3 boys, Matthew, James and Alex. We all seem to get on well despite having very different personalities at the moment! For the rest of the day we just went into the city centre and bought essential stuff that we will need once we are in the outback... like suncream in industrial quantities! On friday morning we attempted to go to the zoo but ended up getting up far too late, so instead me and one of the other Emilys decided just to wander around Brisbane and attempt to see all of famous buildings etc. It was very hot but we had a good time. In the evening we had dinner and drinks in the hostel bar. Today me, Emily and Alex actually succeeded in going to the zoo! The journey took around 2 hours each way but I think it was worth it! It is a good zoo, although I did end up getting creeped out by seeing the deceased Steve Irwins face everywhere. mThere are a few open enclosures were you can very close to koalas and kangaroos (see the photos!). Tomorrow we are going to go to the koala sanctuary to try and cuddle one (although now seeing them up close I'm pretty sure they are secretly evil...) Then, on monday, the relaxing stops and we get taken to the ranch to be trained into real life jackaroos/jillaroos! I can't wait!

Alice Rosam Sounds great! I suggest you find a way to differentiate between the other Emilys to save us some future confusion hehehe
