Hello! I am currently sitting in a Singapore internet cafe, looking slightly worse for wear after the 13 hour flight but feeling good! The first part of my journey went without any problems, apart from the flight leaving an hour late because they had to 'de-ice the wings' - which seems like an alien concept considering the 30 degree heat I am now sweltering in... But apart from that, the flight was good, the seat next to me was free so I could sprawl out as much as I liked, and be entertained by the likes of Tim Minchin and Family Guy (unfortunately neither were there in real life, just on the TV).

As for Singapore I've only been here a couple of hours, and the place seems slightly quiet compared to how I remember it, but this must just be down to the fact that everyone is recovering from the Chinese New Year celebrations which finished yesterday. I caught a train into the centre to begin, then had a wonder round to try and remember anything from the school trip a couple of years ago! I've been up the lift in the 'Swissotel', apparently the tallest hotel outside of the USA. All I know is it takes mere seconds for you to reach floor 70 in the lift, and it feels like you are free falling on the way down! Last time I was here we only went up there at night, so it was really good to see the amazing views in daylight!

Not sure what I'm doing for the rest of the day yet, but I'm sure it will include sampling some of the delights of the Asain cuisine! Then off to Brisbane this evening, arriving very early tomorrow morning.
