I have arrived in Brisbane, not to the blazing sunshine in the picture, but to heavy rain... apparently they had 2 months of rainfall in 2 hours last night and so there was severe flooding etc... seems to be okay now though, just a little damp! After the obligatory panic whilst waiting for your bag to appear (which it did luckily!) I got the train to the centre of the city, where a bus from the youth hostel comes to collect you for free. I'm impressed with the hostel so far, it's very colourful and there are lots of people about, and I've even managed to blag my own 6 bed room for tonight as the rest of the group aren't arriving til tomorrow. I'm going to attempt to stay awake til a normal bed time hour tonight, which should hopefully be possible as I don't actually feel that bad! Right, I'm off to explore.... xxx
