Today we have been swimming with wild dusky dolphins! These are a species of dolphins that are only found in the Southern Hemisphere and they are especially common along the coast of New Zealand. The company who runs it makes it clear that they wild animals who are not here to entertain us, but it's us who are there to entertain them. Last night we stayed at a place called Rangitata which is literally in the middle of nowhere. We arrived early afternoon and so had the whole evening free to do nothing at all.
