We woke up late (we were starting to like this beach idea) and set up next to the German couple on sun loungers. I blogged while Edd played a racing game on his phone - the internet at our new accommodation left a lot to be desired; we needed to figure out the passwords for the wifi of the restaurants around us, asap.
I'd decided my toe nails needed some attetion and we bargained with one of the local ladies that offer such services, to do both our feet. It was the first time in Edd's life that he'd had a pedi (even though it was a short one, minus the massage that he'd hate anyway); he continued to play his racing game while the lady busied herself with his feet. It was quite entertaining watching him get his toes prettied with a nail file.
We had a $100 note we needed to make smaller as everything we ordered was less than $10 and the locals never had enough change for us, so I arranged with our new accommodation to pay for our room and the food and drinks we'd had up till this point. We then also decided to officially extend our stay by another 2 nights. Neither of us were keen to spend a massive amount of time in Siem Reap, being another mad busy city, so we'd stay put until we only had enough days to get there, do the necessary touristy bits and leave. One thing we had learned, during our time travelling, was that we were happiest near the ocean; we were definitely going to need to buy a house close to the beach, after we got our working visa's, in Australia.
We went to a local restaurant in the street for some lunch (on the cheap and tastey) and then resumed positions on the sun loungers, after buying a bottle of gin in one of the local stores. To be honest, it wasn't a particularly interesting day. I burnt the back of my legs a bit and put serious amounts of after sun on them after we'd showered.
We'd arranged to have dinner with the German couple and met them at 6pm after we'd all freshened up. Deciding to have pizza for dinner, even though it was mad expensive, we walked 2 restaurants down to the Mushroom 1. (I'm not sure what the places name is, but that's what the wifi's called). We watched the sunset while drinking sneaky G&T's and ate amazing pizza.
We moved back to our accommodation at is was more vibey where we were and had one more drink before heading to bed. It was after 11pm and we were all exhausted (from what, none of us knew).

Kat Make sure you go to Ta Prohm when you're at Siem Reap/Angkor Wat - where they filmed Tomb Raider as it's beautiful with all the trees growing through it. And watch the sun rise at Angkor Wat... We got engaged at Pre Rup - another great temple for sunset! Love reading all your stories. x
