Havana is known for the cars they drive. There are lots of old American cars from before the revolution when America put an embargo on Cuba and they couldn't get parts for their cars. They have had to make do any way they could. Some of the old cars are done up beautifully but most are just boongers. They are now all colectivo taxis. Basically they do laps around the city and anyone can get in and out where ever you want for a dollar.
I you look you can see the history. Old American cars, the Ladas, then Japanese, then Korean and now a few Chinese coming in.
I will post all transport I see here even if it is not a car.
The best kept cars, mostly convertibles, hang around Central Park and do tours. They charge about $50/hr so they hang around where the really high end hotels are. They wash then every day and really look after them.
After I saw this I though there wasn't enough cars they are more group shots so I got some more pics yesterday.
