Bliss

We had a long drive yesterday down the west coast, taking in the Hokitika Falls, the Whataroa River, a walk up to the Franz Josef Glacier and splendid views of the Fox Glacier, surrounded by the Southern Alps. We carried on through Haast and saw most of the beautiful drive though the Haast Pass and past the twin Lakes of Wanaka and Hawea as the sun was setting on our arrival into Wanaka.

This morning it was glorious to drive back through town and stop at the edge of the lake to admire the view. Wow.

It really is a beautiful country.
