Mount Doom End of day two in the Tongariro National Park. A quite easy day with only four hours of walking through some forests and then over a couple of ridges. This is the land of Lord of the Rings, so imagine the first film's scenery... The last hour didn't feel quite as easy walking through the volcanic rock with a bit of a scramble up a steep climb.
