So it's the 8th Jan and We are in our hotel recovering after the safari today. It was really good! We got picked up in the safari jeep and first stop was the mummified monk and Buddha temple. The monk was a bit weird it has been preserved and is sitting up in a glass cage with the orange robes on! he still had skin and hair and even a pair of ray bans! Next stop was our favourite - the elephants! We got to ride an elephant for about 20 mins, feeding him bananas on the way. I even sat on his head! The elephants then did a show and played football and tug of war. They took on about 20 people (and won) they are so strong! Next we headed onto the waterfall and water slides. We walked up and saw the waterfall which was pretty cool. Then we took on the water slides - pretty scary as at the end they plunge into a small rock pool with a massive rock in the middle...eek! Anyway we made it out alive, just! Nearly lost our bikinis on the way too! Next we headed right up into the jungle hills to a restaurant for lunch and was served by a lady boy with stubble, boobs, deep voice, and nail varnish... Confusing! Last stop was the Buddha garden. There was loads of Buddhas carved into the stone which was pretty interesting. After the journey home we treated ourselves to well needed Thai massage. This time a foot and leg as we we're still bruised from the Thai massage yesterday!!
